It is urgent to improve product research and technology investment in domestic molds
Due to inherent shortcomings, China's machine tool industry has been lagging behind the mainstream level of foreign countries in the development of mid to high end machine tool projects. Currently, China's machine tool industry is in a relatively difficult period of adjustment and transition.
It is reported that although some Chinese enterprises have developed mid to high-end CNC machine tools, most of them are still assembled on the basis of domestic machine tool theme manufacturing and imported key functional components, which does not fully indicate that we have mastered the overall research and development technology and manufacturing technology of mid to high-end CNC machine tools and key functional components. Therefore, there is still a significant gap between Chinese machine tool enterprises and foreign machine tool enterprises.
In recent years, Chinese enterprises have been continuously promoting industrial innovation and upgrading. High speed, precision, composite, intelligent, and green are the overall trends in the development of CNC machine tool technology. However, the existing problems are still very obvious. Affected by research and development capabilities, 80% of domestic high-end CNC systems, 90% of high-end CNC systems, and 85% of high-end CNC machine tools still rely on imports from abroad.
1. The small-scale production enterprises of CNC functional components in China
According to statistics, there are over 70 functional component production enterprises in China with fixed assets exceeding 10 million yuan, accounting for less than 10% of all production enterprises.
2. Core components heavily rely on imports
From 2002 to 2008, China was the world's largest consumer and importer of machine tools. However, behind the rapid development of the industry, a fact that cannot be ignored is that the production of key components in China is still subject to human constraints, resulting in low profits and a lack of core competitiveness in products.
3. Lack of high-tech content threatens industrial security
Data shows that in 2012, the CNC rate of metal cutting machine tools in China was 25.8%, while the CNC rate of forming machine tools was 5.8%. Compared with developed countries such as Japan, the United States, and Germany, which have a CNC rate of 60% to 70% of production and 80% to 90% of output, the CNC rate of machine tool equipment in China is still very low, which will inevitably affect the processing accuracy and efficiency of downstream enterprises' products.
4. Adaptability and satisfaction far fall short of market demand
There is a certain gap in the product level of functional components between China and foreign countries. The development capacity of functional components in China is weak, and the speed of new product development is slow. Most functional components require cooperative development, production, joint venture operation with foreign countries, and even can only be assembled. Although there have been significant changes in the situation in the past two years, China is still in the process of developing high-tech and the latest functional components, and the market share prospects are still not optimistic.
